About time, now I can make room for my new TIG welder, pipe notcher, and mandrel pipe bender as soon as the tires move out!

So when are you going to install a cage for me? :-)

Haha, that is precisely what the stuff I am getting is for. Your cage sounds too damn complex for what I can probably do, but I know the welds would be bad ass! :buttrock

Maybe you can at least help me make a tranny bracket?

Damn Mike, time for me to go work on my car in your garage so I can mess it up again ! :D

I can do anything you need. I could probably do the cage you need perfect, but I would take longer than a true professional just because I would want it to be absolutely perfect and KNOW it would save you in the event you needed it! :)

Argon gas for both welders. The new TIG machine is gonna get a bigger bottle. Right now I have a 10lb bottle for the MIG. I use flux cored wire in the mig for small projects such as making my disc golf goal. It is not perfect and was my first ever welding project a few years ago...

Bro you folf! lol I took 2nd in state 4 years ago in montana. I dont have anyone to folf with down here. I know of like 3 coarses that i went to last summer. But its kinda silly to go by yourself but fills the void ya know. If you ever want to go im down. Ill buy the beer. I have got kinda rusty in the past 3 years but i will still pull a par. The corses here are not near as hard as the ones i played on in montana....up and down mountains threw forests lol. Let me know bro. And kudos on the garage! Looks nice man! :lol

How much will you charge me for a cage? :D

It would strictly depend on what you wanted.

6 point cage with swing out (removeable) arms. It's a 4 door and I want passengers to still be able to sit back there comfortably. I probably won't need it until next February or March (once they throw me off the track for running sub 11 :D).

VERY VERY bad idea to put passengers in the back seat with a car with a cage. It is also a bad idea to drive a car with a cage without a helmet on. Cages only belong in track only cars.

I've never had a track only car. I've had a cage on every car faster than 10.99 (it was only 1). :D

You think you are gonna run 10.xx in an M3? It has only been done once, so good luck on that. I see you are getting the Boost Logic kit. You wont run sub 11's with that kit even on a fully built motor and drag radials.

If no one had ever run 10's before I would still aim for 10's. There's no reason that it can't be done.
I'll probably be using a T67, so about 650 to the wheels. Once I get it back I'll plumb a small shot a nitrous, that will bump me well over 700.
I'll be running slicks, drag radials have never made sense to me. If I buy wheels and tires to use only at the track, why not buy full slicks?
And, if I never hit 10's then I won't need the cage; but the goal is to get kicked off the track next year. :evil2
It will be my daily driver as well.

The only one who has ever run 10's in an M3 is Gene Liu with his AA Turbocharged M3 sporting a Zeemax kit.

Pepe, there is a red M3 in Australia I think it is, that runs 9s. A video was posted a while back...do a search. There are lots of powerful M3s across the pond, we just dont always hear about them.

Yeah you're right. I was just referring to M3's in the U.S. that have run 10's, should've made it clearer in my original post. My bad.

Do you think the T67 will fit twith the motor mount in the way? It most likely wont and it will have to sit so close to the ground, your downpipe will be about 2" off the ground.

Plus there is no way to fit a slick in the rear without a widebody. 15" wheels wont clear the caliper. I wish you luck, but I already see these items as mountains you must cross to get there. Who is building the motor and what compression are you gonna run?

I do think a T67 will fit, but we'll know for sure within a month.

If I remember correctly CCW can make a 16" that will fit with our calipers. Hoosier makes a 16" full slick, I'm going to try to fit that.

I might hit a few mountains, but I'm a good climber.
