Just got back from 4 glorious days in the Alps in Switzerland. The X3 was fantastic however we really could have used some good snow tires. All we had were the all season tires it came with; not sure what the rating or brand name is.

Hill descent control worked fantastic, we were in some pretty heavily snow/iced areas and most of the locals seemed to have chains. I was monumentally impressed with the X3's ability there.

I'll post pictures later once I get them downloaded... :)

Ok, here's a few. I had over 200 pictures to upload to Ofoto.com yesterday-it took more than 4 hours!

The first pic is of the car after the first night while it had snowed all night long. If you look past the front end of my car you will see a pole coming from the ground on the other side. There was a more than 60 ft drop off which is why the our car sat still the 4 days we were there! We opted to travel in our buddies Volvo S60 R with the winter tires (monumentally impressed with that car, too!).

This photo was taken up at Kleine Sheidegg at almost 7,000 feet.

This is what is known as the Top of Europe or Jungfraujoch. It is at over 11,000 feet.

Thanks!

We are using a Sony Cybershot DSC-P100. It's a nice camera, we really are enjoying it!
