Title says it all. I need an alignment but my car will not go on an alignment rack, such as a Hunter. Who in the DFW area does a great job aligning these things?

View Full Version : DFW: Who can align (4 wheel) a slammed M3? Toon///Man 12-20-2004, 08:12 PM Title says it all. I need an alignment but my car will not go on an alignment rack, such as a Hunter. Who in the DFW area does a great job aligning these things? hinzm3 12-20-2004, 08:14 PM the place that did mine screwed up my splitters and fog light. Sean has a connection some where... i'll ask him. Toon///Man 12-20-2004, 08:18 PM the place that did mine screwed up my splitters and fog light. Sean has a connection some where... i'll ask him. That is exactly what I am trying to prevent. Thanx Ray. BTW: I am 100% sure my car will not go on a rack so this will most likely have to be done w/strings or brackets (unless there is an "in ground" alignment rack around here). hinzm3 12-20-2004, 08:19 PM do you have an underpanel? You could just take ur bumper off real quick, its only like 4 bolts. If you have an underpanel then its not as easy Waxfondlr 12-20-2004, 08:23 PM vernons alignment on white settlement has one in the ground.. Toon///Man 12-20-2004, 08:24 PM do you have an underpanel? You could just take ur bumper off real quick, its only like 4 bolts. If you have an underpanel then its not as easy That wouldn't help much. My car got stuck on the sliding jacks (b/t the ramps) and we had to have 3 guys lift car while we pulled the jacks out from under it. The worse part is that I am lowering the front end 1/2" w/my new 500# springs up front. That it why I need a new alignment. Just no way. :( Toon///Man 12-20-2004, 08:25 PM vernons alignment on white settlement has one in the ground.. Where is that? How's their work? How much? Waxfondlr 12-20-2004, 08:29 PM i think its like 85 dollars for 4 wheel..i used to take my slammed gti down there..and my good friend used to take his super slammed jetta with no probs..theyre work is good but the shop is a little old timey..but they know what their doing..Its in fort worth a bit east of autobahn, if im not mistaken.. i can get you the info if needed Pepe240sx 12-20-2004, 08:30 PM http://www.dallasframealign.com/ They also do lowered cars as well. Austin 12-20-2004, 09:30 PM Autoscope does some really low ones. I think its $120 for 4 wheel. They corner balance also. http://www.autoscope-motorsports.com/ Toon///Man 12-20-2004, 09:38 PM Autoscope does some really low ones. I think its $120 for 4 wheel. As low as your downpipe is, I should fit. n3wbie 12-21-2004, 12:43 AM we have a pretty slammed m3 at the shop right now that we have done an alignment on, you might want to stop by and run it by the owner to see if you can possibly get your car aligned at our place... www.eurosportplano.com if its not out of your way, you can just stop by and have them take a look, or you can let me know how low your car is and i can ask them if its going to be a problem. SG_M3 12-21-2004, 02:06 AM eh, who needs alignments. I'd probably go to autoscope. But they charge way too much to corner balance. I'll be going to austin to SoulSpeed for that. 1/2 the price, last i checked. Bry 12-21-2004, 03:11 AM Bill at SoulSpeed is an awesome guy. I've seen some pics of his alignment rack and it looks very nice. I'll be down there when I need to have everything done, Ray, do you know how much he charges for alignments and cornerbalancing? SOLO2M3 12-22-2004, 03:28 PM Toon Man Try Fifthgear in Flower Mound (972-317-4005). They'll do exactly the spec's you ask for and they know motor sports. They use a long set of ramps and got mine on no problem. The owners son will probably answer the phone. Ask for the alignment guy (he's the owner). If they can do my car they can do yours. Regards |
