View Full Version : Wow Wow Wow at ICS
card counter 12-20-2004, 06:50 PM What a weekend! Friday, I went to see George and Brian at ICS. What an experience I had! At first arrival, I saw a parking lot full of BMWs and knew this was the place. After entering, someone came through the door that I recognized from the Monster ICS video. And I said, "George, I am Ulysses from Maryland." These words I have said over the phone many times but he never had a face to put with it. He gave me a happy greeting and preceeded to take me on a tour of the shop. When first entering the shop, the main thing that caught my attention was the 600+ M3. Right then I was in awe. George preceeded to show me other cars. All of which had crazy turbos and a lot of custom work (and very nice work at that). Though my attention kept diverting back to the monster.
Saturday morning, I went to the dyno day. Some verry nice cars were there. I met some Bimmer Forum members. As the cars ran on the dyno, we had a good time discussing BMWs and then it was my turn. My 328 pulled a 227 at the wheels. George and Ledlum told me was very impressive. The day wound down.
As I kept walking by the M3 monster,(and starring) George said, "Want to go for a ride?" What else could I say but, "Hell, yeah!" He fired it up and what a sound. We hit the road and after the car warmed up, George gave me a little taste of the power. I didn't see the speedometer at this time because of the G-force pulling me into the seat. I had no where to look but up. He got into it a few more times. Each time being more incredible than the first. And then it happened, George saw a tricked out Porshe. Ledlum egged him on from the backseat saying, "Get him!" George being always up for a challenge, pulled beside the Porshe. He let the Porshe go first, then all of a sudden, it was a blur. My internal organs were in the backseat. My leg was shaking and I believe there are still fingernail marks in the seat. This was the fastest car I've ridden in. Oh, and by the way, there is a video of all of this. There will have to be some editting of the audio since George scared the crap out of me.
I had a great time! George and Brian run an impressive shop. Their work and customer service is unparrallel.
GEORGE YOU ARE THE MAN
PathosRx 12-20-2004, 06:57 PM :lol
I remember when i watched the vid Ledlum took ...
both of your comments make the video worthwhile in itself to show the amount of fear/joy "The Beast" instills in its victims ...
I agree about George and Brian ... a couple of class acts ...
thanks for the dyno day guys ...
Ulysses ... impressive numbers your car put up ... it was funny how George can extract MOPOWA with each pull ... :buttrock
highboostingm3 12-20-2004, 07:09 PM Nice write-up! I can't wait to see that vid! :redspot
So, did you blow your ass out? :lol

ledlum 12-20-2004, 07:18 PM Hey Ulysses,
It was nice meeting you. You have a sweet ride there. I can't believe those numbers you put down. I have sent the video to Brian to edit. Don't worry he is going to edit the part where we are screaming are heads off. If he does not I will say it was you. :D After you left George give me a ride in his Turbo S all I can say is Daammmmmmmm!!!!!! Some guys have all the toys.

Yes, I am George, or as you so eloquently put it, the fat guy, that produces power and dyno charts and AFR sheets. Guess your memory isn't that great, you rode me on a previous thread about posting AFRs. You got what you asked for, and I guess you have you to find something else to rag about. Bring it.

It was very good to see you too, as well as Steven and Allen. When I pulled into the gas station, what octane gas did I put in (I know, however, many people think I run cam 2 in there - I just want them to hear it from you and from Ledlum).

You see that both Dave and I have posted in here and addressed it. No need for others to join in and keep things rolling AFTER our posts.
Unless, of course, your intention is for the thread to go sour and have it closed.

I drove it on 1.3 bar on Saturday I went to turn it up but the wheels where scrapping fierce in the wheel wheels, from all the horespower and torque. If I turned it up some more I could have run the risk of a blow out, so I took percausion and lower it abit. I never put people in the rear this time I did the added weight, made a difference. Sorry Ledlium.

just curious...aquamist?
is this just the 1s system that engages at 12psi?
or something like the 2d which lets you run a fixed fuel/water ratio?
thanks!
