The midrange speaker on my right side door is buzzing so I need to get a new speaker. Is the dealer the only place to get one? Anyone know how much they are?

It can be repaired, I just repaired both of mine. The foam surrounds deteriorates and then the center of the cone starts to scrape on the magnet.

You need to get the speaker out of the door, then pop the speaker out of the plastic holder. Spread a thin layer of silicone on the outer foam speaker surround. I used some windshield silicone since it flows better than the usual stuff. Let it dry overnight then pop it back in.

Give it a shot, the speaker is toast so you have nothing to lose.

Actually the buzz went away after I pounded on the door panel with my fist... Go figure :)
