View Full Version : Local sponsorship opportunity
John@BPG 12-16-2004, 06:44 PM Local sponsorship opportunity
Bavarian Performance Group (BPG) and Diffsonline are proud to announce a new and exciting sponsorship program for a select few local BMW enthusiasts. This sponsorship is designed to showcase BPG’s ability as a tuner/installer and the performance products which it sells. BPG will work with each sponsored individual to custom tailor a tuning program for his or her car based upon their own personal goals and budget. Substantial savings will be available over retail cost on performance and OEM parts as well as a large discount on labor. This is an opportunity to save hundreds and possibly thousands of dollars on performance modifications for your BMW.
BPG will help place these sponsored vehicles into shows and will educate the owners of these sponsored vehicles about the characteristics of the different performance products on their vehicle, including how they function and the ways in which they enhance the performance of their BMW.
We are initially looking for one (1) BMW each of the following chassis in the greater Boston area.
1. E36
2. E36 M3
3. E46
4. E46 M3
5. E39
6. Z4
7. X5 4.4i
8. Mini Cooper S
9. E38
If you are interested in this sponsorship program or just want further details please contact us.
Regards,
John Mariani

Mr. Mariani
I live in NJ. I would be willing to offer my car to you. I have certain project goals in mind that I have detailed below. I would appreciate if you could tell me if you would be interested in what we have planned and if you would want to be involved with it. To start:
The Subject Car is a 1995 (10/95) BMW E38 740I OBDI M60 with ZF 5HP30 Automatic Transmission
Car has failed compression test and will need an engine replacement. Car idles extremely rough & smokes badly upon startup. Dealer recommendation is to replace the Nikasil Block. Due to the dealer quote on replacing for between $10-12k, the idea of replacing the engine with a tuned performance version of the M60 seemed like a logical next step. The car will be a demonstration vehicle for show use and will be a daily driver as well. My company created an M-Technic based appearance package for the E38 which gives it the appearance of what an M7 would have likely looked like had BMW’s M Division created the car. Since the car will look like an M car we want it to perform as one as well. Full suspension has been upgraded and the only thing left is the brakes, wheels, engine & drivetrain. This is where our need for sponsorship comes into play.
There are opportunities for mass media exposure due to our G2K Road Rally and possibilities for touring auto shows. Also, magazine coverage in the usual suspects of BMW and European/German car magazines who have expressed interest and sought us out directly to do stories on the “The M7, The Car BMW Should Have Built”. We also have been in contact with the television producers of the Speed Channel, the Discovery Channel, & MTV who handle the motorcycle and car tuning television programs. The idea of Americans shipping their tuned BMW’s over the Atlantic Ocean out to Germany to drive the Autobahns & Nurburgring have peaked their interest, especially knowing the first year of the G2K was so successful. We are always looking for high profile opportunities for shameful displays of self promotion. Hopefully we can realize more sponsors becoming a part of this project. The M7 carries exclusivity as there is no glory in tuning something there is a huge market for (E30, E36, E46, E34, and E39 platforms have many options and have been tuned before). The car will be distinctive when complete & has exclusivity that will create a buzz no matter where it goes.
Our plan is to try & source as many products through our business as possible to defray costs by buying wholesale or sourcing sponsorship parts from vendors. The goal is to have the car ready to ship to Germany for the German 2000 in 2005 Road Rally which we are hosting in May.

The Shadowchaser 12-25-2004, 09:12 PM i thought vision motorsports was a porsche race team from cali?
First we are Vision Motorsport (not Motorsports) and we are located in Southern NJ just 15 minutes from Philadelphia. I am unaware of this Porsche Race Team in Ca. We are definitely not the same. We specialize in E38 only appearance, & modification packages. We will be exploring other platforms in the future, but for now we will concentrate on what we know the best. :) Thanks for inquiring though.

Thanks, we would tend to agree with your opinion. :D

John@BPG 01-03-2005, 10:49 AM Can't believe the New Year is already upon us all, I hope every had a good time in 04.
We have received quite a lot of interest in our sponsorship program. We will be annoucing the first group of sponsored individuals in a couple weeks. We have gotten a lot of interested in a handful of models. Namely E46 3series, E36 3 series, and E36 M3. In light of this we may choose more then 1 car from each of these models.
We are still looking for Minis, Z4s, and E39s.
We have not made any decisions yet on whom is to be sponsored, we are still collecting applications, so if you are thinking about this, contact us now.
