How does one clean the buttons on the radio without attacking the deposit that is there. At night, they just arn't as bright as the computer, etc.

The radio buttons are much dimmer than the computer buttons. It is soil on the engraved numbers. If there is paint there, I don't want to destroy it.

Maybe windex on a rag while the ignition is off?

Have you tried using a q-tip? :dunno

You can probably try different cleaning products out on your computer keyboard first to make sure it won't remove the numbers.

Try the wipes that are used for computer components such as monitor screens and keyboards, or similar wipes for photographic equipment.
