My friend has a M3, it has a bit of a problem, the previous owner used a product on the leather seats that we think was most likely not made for use on leather, the end result was sticky seats, its not too sticky to the touch, but your clothes stick to seats. Anybody have some suggestions on what to do, some way to recondition the leather?

Clean and condition it again. Chances are he used Lexol straight. You're supposed to squirt some on a damp sponge and use it that way, not spray it on the seats directly.
Is it cardboard hard or just sticky. If it's just sticky, I'd use Lexol (read the web site for directions on how to apply or do a search here - I did a write up on it a while ago) cleaner and then follow it up with conditioner. If it's hard/cracking, then use Leatherique Rejuv Oil followed by Prestine clean. Lexol is available in most auto stores as well as some Dept stores (wallyworld). Leatherique is pretty much mail order only.

Highly diluted Purple Power and a scrub brush...don't leave PP on long though. Incredible effects.
