Hey folks, I need some input please.
I've read in some previous threads some replies that on a '99 740iL the replacement of a bad MAF should be free of charge. I wonder if that is true or not or only if the car has/is still under CPO? I found out on alldata that there is a "General Recall" dated Oct. '03 a "Campaign" for Air Mass Meter Problem ('99 740iL). So my question would be what does "General Recall" mean? Should this repair indeed be free of charge to me? Cause the advisor at the stealer said it isn't, so who is wrong on this one guys?
:help TIA

A general recall means its free - under warranty or not - IF it applies to your specific car.

Call BMW @ 1-800-831-1117 with your VIN handy and they will tell you if there are any outstanding recalls on your car.
