So, tell me all wise people. I note that the vast majority of folk around these parts (BF.c) are E36 owners. Is it due to cost? Smaller/sportyness? Or what? Should I feel old that I like 5ers better? Ya know, my first BMW was a 3 series..

E36 is better for handling and not all of us like the size of the 5er.

I am all about handling. I think I like that more than power. E36 is for more nimble that the 5er, plus it DOES cost less

Cost would be my number one reason, insurance settlement from my jeep paid for most of my car. an E36 just seemed to fit me better :dunno

Well despite how rare they say they are, they are really not that difficult to find. I think easier in a E39 than a E34 though. Glad mine's manual. (ahem, makr), just kiddin bro.
