I have owned several BMW's, and am always dissapointed that such a fine vehicle does not come with headlights which come on automatically. Has anyone put an automatic headlight switch into your X5? :alright

Doesn't the "automatic" feature on the headlights help you out there, or are you looking for them to kick on regardless of daylight?

I have a 2001 X5 which does not have the feature that your 2004 would have. I am just looking at having the lights turn on when it is dark.

Just by looking around I think there is some work to switching a non-auto headlight to an auto-headlight.

You could always try something that turns your headlights on as soon as the car is turned on:

Just a couple of suggestions :)

Sounds to me like there are other owners who would like to do the same thing, but knowledge of the system is limited.

I will have to do some more research this week and find out exactly what it would involve.
