Howdy all, i'm flying up to Ohau on Sat morning (NZ time), my old man is doing the marathon.

Can i get some general advice for a first time visitor to your fair shores? Like where not to shop, where to shop, where not to go at nite, where all the 19-20year olds hang out (great, i go from working as a bartender, to being unable to buy alcohol, ironic, no?) Just these general knowledge stuff that locals would take for granted.

Coming up with the family, so "go nuts in a foreign city" time will be limited, so any thoughts and suggestions to make this trip memorable (not that it wont already be) will be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Sam

Hey!
I came out here when I was 19... that was over 5 years ago!
There is a BIG UH game this saturday! Highly recommended (American Football). I recommend not shopping in waikiki, there are outlet malls in Waikele, your hotel should be able to provide some shuttle details.

Clubs... hmm under 21
Monday you can try red lion I think they have some type of promo party there
Tuesday you can check out Mooses
Weds blue tropics (nice asian girls in there)
thursday zanzabar (college night)
friday pipeline.. crazy party night there!
saturday any of the above

or some great bars are magoo's, bed rock, mai tia's you might be able to drink but he eyeballs will be full!

oh and you have to check out Dukes on sunday for an early dinner.

ala moana for shopping.
there's also pearlridge but i prefer ala moana.
under 21 clubs..?
hmm.
i guess pipeline would be your best bet.
it's pretty big and it pops off on the weekends.
there's also noblese but it's really small, hot and crowded.
dave and busters used to be a spot.
but i believe it might be strictly +21 now.
there's venus too.
i think they still have under 21 nights sometimes.
i don't know..
i don't really hit up these places though..
i turned 21 and never looked back ;)
