Actually wanted to get your guys thought on this.
I was in my friend's VW Cabriolet today, sitting at the light and the car had a very lumpy idle, as if someone was in the car moving around. I thought at first it was one of the guys in the back shifting around and she told me that's how the car was when she bought it new. The shaking doesn't occur when the car is in gear and moving.
The VW dealer won't do anything, saying that it is "normal". But I think there is something wrong.
I might go with her to the dealer and I want to be able to throw out some possibilities to them. I am also going to take her car out-what should I do to isolate / test the problem in terms of driving it.
What do you guys think? I was thinking motor mount.
