I have a 92 325i with 143000 miles the thing is the engine still runs strong but I think I have problem with my auto tranny because when I punch it it seems to have a sort of lag but sometmes its worse than others. I am the second owner and I bought the car with a little under 80000 miles but I am planning on doing some work on it finally and think I should start with my tranny. I may be wrong the problem may be somewhere else but wanted to ee if anyone had any suggestions. It sucks not being able to even squeal the tires let alone smoke them . I cant even do a brake torque. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!:(

sounds like a clutch problem to me
