:emo :help ......my 1984 733i will wont turn its hard.....and i have got it checked out and they said it was the steering pump so i replaced that and put new fluid in it and everything....then like couple weeks later it became hard again and i took it back to the dealership and 3 other places and they told me that my steering gear box needed to be replaced...and it was gonna cost $875 and $100 labor.....but like thats way to expenisve i found another 1 online for $467 but thats still alot of money and i have to pay for other things before that cause i am still in school.....they also said i needed to replace my accumilator...and i have no clue what that is....so if u could help me id appriciate it alot!!!!

Zygmunt (www.bimmerparts.com) has good prices on rebuilt (reputable remanufacturer) steering components. I bought a replacement steering rack there for about 1/3 the price of a reman from BMW. Ask Chris (at Zygmunt) for the name of the manufacturer. It started with an "M". Maval, or something like that.
