Looking for a good sub for my 7. Everything I'm reading says that because of the way the the trunk is designed/materials used...it will have to be a minimum 10" sub to make any difference at all.

I'm not looking for a sub that will be for the enjoyment of people outside of the car...just more than I have in the stock system. Something that I can occasionally thump....but really...just more full but controlled bass for my own in car enjoyment.

What about Basslink ?

My suggestion for you (and its just a preference, there are lots of great subs and amps available nowadays).......

Image Dynamics (www.imagedynamicsusa.com) IDQ10V.2 D4 and Memphis (www.memphiscaraudio.com) MC250D or MC500D. ID's will give you great SQ in really small sealed boxes and the Memphis amps are about as small as you can get (250D is only 6.5x8.25x2"). They also have great sq and are very efficient.

Had my basslink for about 1 year now. If you're paying retail ($400), don't waste your money. You'll get much better sound with a seperate sub and amp. I can be fairly satisfied with it b/c I got it for $125 from a board member and it workd well with the factory speakers. However, it wil be replaced sometime in the near future.

get a 10" idmax/brahma and throw it in a small sealed box
