has anyone had problems with their drivers side window coming off the metal track? I can't seem to get it to stay on.

Mostly likely the regular arms are bent causing it to come off track.

Replacing it is gonna be a bitch if its still the original arm from the factory. Drilling is involved to remove the rivits.

You know thats what I was kind of thinking. The arm pointing towards the front is bent in more then the left arm. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be like that from the factory to hold it in tighter. I might try to bend it back, if that doesn't work it's time to get the drill out...:95

Poke around a little. I had problems with mine and it turns out that part of the assembly had a big crack it it from years of flexing back and forth. I welded it up and it's been fine since..

I had this happen twice on my 93 325. It seems BMW fixed this in later years, but for the 93 it is just a weld on the metal window regulator. I had the whole regulator replaced w/ a new one and that fixed it, but what caused it the second time was those crappy plastic pieces that cost like $.35 for each (2) that cracked in half the second time. Also watch out cuz, when my window fell down, it broke the lock actuator (per the BMW mechanic) total cost $380. really pizzed me off too.

Thanks for all your help. Lopaka, I might just go out and buy a whole new regulator. Yeah, you know it's funny i have 130,000 miles on my 318 and in the last 5 years have never once had it in the shop! But I think i have spent about 10 bucks on those little plastic window track pieces (you do the math) and that regulator is driving me nuts. How much did the new regulator set you back? Thanks

People were pricing them at $170 a few weeks ago. Please let us know if you find them significantly cheaper.
