I'm modeling the e46 m3 in rhino, and need a side view to work off of. It'd be cool if you guys could post a high res (prefferably 1280x1024) picture of your M car, as exactly from the side as possible. Thanks.

View Full Version : Can someone post a side view of their car? ilia 11-22-2004, 03:32 PM I'm modeling the e46 m3 in rhino, and need a side view to work off of. It'd be cool if the bumper was completely horizontal relative to the viewer (a perfect side shot). If not, it's ok, thanks for the one you gave, anyway. Thanks a lot! cowboy bebop 11-23-2004, 02:12 AM jezus, half the sigs here have just such a pic attached! MotorcityM3 11-23-2004, 10:29 AM How about a conv.... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v422/motorcitym3/sideview.jpg absolutealex 11-23-2004, 12:00 PM http://photos.e46fanatics.com/data/500/28649quickpshop1.jpg Byzanz owns me :( ilia 11-23-2004, 09:51 PM In case anyone is curious, here is how far I have gotten so far. http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/wNjYwMTc4NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/wNjYwMTgwNnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg EDIT: So I've finished the front view, and pretty much done the side. I still need a photo of the top, which I am working on taking of some local cars, and one of the back. If anyone can provide either, that'd be cool. The end goal is a 3D model of the car. But I can find a back view pretty easily, the top is going to be the hard part. Like I said, I might just post on AZBMW.org and ask someone if I can meet them to snap a shot of their car. septer012 11-25-2004, 02:07 PM Why dont you just go to a bmw dealership? Oh, and how come your drawings have the csl style bumper installed? but your not going for the csl style trunk lid.... ilia 11-25-2004, 05:42 PM Haha. DAMN. The reason I was gonna model a CSL was because I kept looking at my desktop and wanting to see it as a 3D model that I could rotate around and play with. You're right, of course, I just didn't think of it. I will try to draw a CSL style trunk, as well, but if I can't pull it off, I'll just change the bumper to a stock M3 one. septer012 11-27-2004, 01:38 PM :bump: update.
