I know the ARC2-A used to convert from AFM to MAF offers some range of adjustment with the fuel curve, just curious if anybody knows wheter or not it would have enough adjustment to provide room for larger injectors (24-35lbs?). Anybody have any experience in general with this particular unit?

I run the split second 3.5" MAF Kit with the ARC II. I am currently running 34.5# injectors so the answer would be yes you are able to use it to lean out the system.
The ARC II has three knobs Low, Mid, and High. Each one can be configured + or - 20%.
Hope that helps.

Im actually about to turbocharge my car and im going to be using the split sec. I have already recieved it.. My buddy here uses them alot mostly on Domestic cars but he will be tuning mine with the split sec. He recomends runing it with a Areomotive fuel pressure regulator. Ill keep you posted but its going to be about a month or 2 until my turbo kit arrives. Im going to be using the split sec Ftc1-035.

will split second's MAF conversion kit produce appreciable gains on my e34 turbo 535?

Do you know how he plan to hook it up? Are you just using it for fuel or are you going to use the timing features as well? I did not think that a piggyback system was able to modify the timing of a BMW.

It enables you to modify that MAF signal which in turn allows you to control Duty Cycle of injectors so you may be able to tweak the system a little bit to run the car richer and produce more power. Either way it gives you more flexablility if you want to keep adding mods.

I can't remember if the E34 has the Barn door meter..If it does..the answer is yes it will give you some power. And you could tune the car better if all you have is a RRFPR. You could actually stop using the RRFPR and get bigger injectors and retune it with the split second unit.

The e34 535i Does have the "Barn Door" AFM, I have Split Seconds Psc-1004 , It seems to add a noticible amount of power to my car, especially up top in the RPM range,
Not sure if it wuld be appreciable if you have a turbo, maybe itl spool up a little sooner because of less air restrictions?
Some one should do a back to back dyno to see if a MAF helps much with a turbo.
