Ok, Does anyone have the euro headers with the stock mid pipe, and a aftermarket exhaust? No cats on the car also.. This is the question: how bad does the car droan? Like at 80 mph on the highway, is there this droaning noise that consumes the whole interior of the car? On my e36 m3, I did headers and got the cats cut out, and the car was louder on throttle, but on the highway, it was damn near like stock.. Then on my e46 330ci, I put headers and took the cats out, and the car is unbearable, at 80mph, the car is so loud from the exhaust on the inside, that you can barely hear the system over it! Everyone that has heard that car is like " damn your are crazy" it truly is soo loud. If I were to do that to my e46 m3 would I get the same result? Any help would be appreciated!!

In the E46 M3 the drone is caused by the resonators in the S pipe and the midpipe. Pull the resonators out and 90% of the drone is gone. A have a little at 2,500 to 2,800 rpms but that's it.

I have euro headers, euro cats, stock section 2, and Remus muffler. No drone at all. I do have a very sweet hum in the car below 2.5k, not really noticeable until you put the windows up. No one including myself has anything bad to say about the sound. Vast improvement over stock. Do it! Do it! You know you want to!

See what I am worried about is not the STOCK sound, but when I take the cats out, the droaning noise. If I were to do the euro headers I would not put any cats, there is no emissions in south Forida, so thanks for the replies, but is there not anyone with the euro headers, and NO cats with an aftermarket exhaust that can verify the droaning niose?
