208, factory advertized, bone stock, in my old '90 735i. Should be the same as your 535i.

My '90 535i 5 spd with chip/headers is 240hp.

factory claims 208 at the crank
figure maybe 190 wheel. maybe.

If it's 208 hp stock then it would be closer to 160-170 at the wheels, maybe even less.
E28ers have 182 hp on their M30 engines due to lower compression ratios. They get around 145ish rwhp.

Dammit...Ill just have to take mine to the dyno :D

But it has a dinan chip, so you have to subtract 13 HP..whoopee

When I had the Unichip installed 4 years ago on my 535i I dyno'd at 198 rwhp.I have since added cat delete, free flow exhaust.K&N panel filter and Racing Dynamics headers.I have removed the Unichip(installed in my 540i) and use a Schatz&Krum chip.

jimmy, where did you find headers for the m30. before i went turbo i searched high and low for those headers and i was told that they were impossible to find, which i pretty much found out for my self. where did you get yours.

Sorry guys.I have the cat delete on my 540i.On my 535i I have headers/NO RESONATORS/Sebring exhaust. My car is also dynamated 'cause of my stereo. On my 540i there is no 'droan sound' 'cause of the dynamat also in the trunk. But it does sound freekin evil. And no smell except that car/gas smell from heaven :evil2

are the resonators RIGHT behind the cats? and is there really any point in using high flow cats?

The reso's are behind the cats but not like 2 inches.I am putting e39 cats on my S/C540i.I have heard from sveral BBW tuners(Steve Dinan and master tech Bill Arnold) that BMW's need big free flow cats for better flow.
