Up until this evening I was riding on Staggered 20x9.5 & 20x11 Breyton Magic Sports (For Sale), then UPS came bearing gifts, with 20" 4.6 wheels. I must say I like the look better than the Breyton's. Maybe if I had the sport package and clear lenses I would appreciate the Breyton's more, but they just didn't look as nice on my X5 as BreytonX5's do. Below are some quick shots of the X5 and its current configuration. It has been rainy all week so please excuse the dirtiness. I also took a pic under the hood to show my Dinan Intake and airflow meter. I also have the Throttle body and Intake manifold but those cannot be seen without some engine cover removal.

I am looking to get $1200 plus shipping for the wheels. This is half of what they cost new from the TireRack. They don't have any rash, and only a few scuffs from road debris. I will take some pics tomorrow after I wash them up (It's been raining the whole week). FYI: They are Staggered 20x9.5 and 20x11.

The Breyton's? If you are referring to the Breyton Magic Sports, then yes I still have them.

How much do a set of 20" 4.6 wheels go for?

How much do a set of 20" 4.6 wheels go for?

Genuine BMW parts, including tires, list for something like ~$4000 at the dealer. If you are a BMW CCA member, you should be able to get 10-25 percent off that price, depending on the dealer.

"Knockoffs" of the 4.6 wheels are available in the aftermarket for much less, but I would not recommend them--I'm told they can be a real b*tch to balance (note: even the OEM 20's can be difficult, and those are top quality parts!).

Hope this helps...

I have the "knockoff version", which come with a lifetime structural warranty...which was my only concern for a vehicle weighing in at 5,000lbs. I got mine with Michelin Diamaris, staggered, for $2,400 shipped. Once they arrived, a week later, all I had to do was put them on and was good to go. I would NEVER buy rims that don't already have tires on them just because you don't want to have to worry about balancing a new rim (always a chance it isn't straight).

I'm going to want some news wheels for the summer, and those wheels really make the car.

Considering the Michelins alone were probably close to $1400, you did really well on the price! :buttrock Also, it sounds like the shop you bought them from knows how to balance that wheel/tire combo...Let us know how they hold up over time, and if you ever have to use the lifetime structural warranty.

BTW--nice pic!

You need the sport clear corners to augment the look.
