First time on a bmw forum - thought IŽd drop a line from time to time as I have started a rebuild of my E34 94.
2 weeks into it - pulled out the engine and replaced all the engine mounts as they were totalled and the engine had took a step backward. ( mea cupla - I was having a crazy day so I decided to do a hand brake turn into my road and I lost it and hit a tree)
That was 2 years ago and the poor car has been in the garage since.

Anyway got the engine all back together and realised that the gearchange had dislocated from its back mounting - fuck this normallly means either out with the dam engine again or out with the driveshaft - panic - but after struggling for a day managed to get it fixed without taking anything out. Phew!!

Anyway I have more or less decided to up the Horses whilst I do this. Seems a lot of folks on here recomend pissing about with the exhaust ( cold) and changing the chip - anyone got any figures for HP improvements - I would be interested.
