I was just bored at work and wanted to read about BMW's and found this site. Looks like you all have input on BMW's in the islands and good info. Look forward to chatting with all of you!
Does anyone know how much the Inspection II service costs at BMW Honolulu?? Too bad I missed that guy offering to do it for free!!!!!!

Inspection II at the stealer is @ $850 to $1000. Independents will charge you from $500 to $750.
Hey, I notice you have a 2001. Isn't the inspection II covered under the maintenance program?

that warranty was up at 50,000 miles... I have just hit 60,000.
I am going to call the dealer... nice to know it is nicknamed the stealer! l
what shops offer the Inspect II?

Bavarian Motor Experts (BME) is highly recommeded (589-1333)...they are a couple of blocks from the dealer.

Thanks for the info, I am going to try to sqeeze any work that needs to be done under my CPO warranty. But I have a few other things in mind that I might need this place for. :alright

Don't fortget to come out to the Aloha 500 on 11-26,27 @ Hawaii Raceway Park! It's a High Performance Driving School with instructors.
Come and watch...free or come and drive $299 which includes breakfast (2 days) & lunch (1 day) the second day (27th) is only a 1/2 day event.
You will also get the chance to meet a lot of the people on this forum :)

If you are coming to spectate, you might want to come on Saturday. It'll be a shorter day. Due to the way the track is configured you will get trapped in the infield to spectate...so plan on arriving at 8am on either day and staying til' we break for lunch. Or come at lunch and leave at the end of the day 4:30.
If you want to stay on the outside, you can watch from the "school" and come and go as you please, but really no one will be there to talk to and the views are kind of boring.
