BoostFed325 11-15-2004, 10:05 PM here is a link with the Z's mods and info http://www.redz31.com/
once again its vs another car that is trapping in the 120's
first race is from 50mph, 2nd is from 70.
300z vs turbo ///3.0 (http://www.yourboymatt.net/BMW_vs_Nissan.mpg)

BoostFed325 11-15-2004, 10:08 PM i didn't read up on his turbo info, but i know he sprays a 100 shot.
ledlum 11-15-2004, 10:18 PM Which turbo are you running? Nice kill :buttrock
dinan325i 11-15-2004, 10:21 PM Yeah you kicked his a** bro nice kill.
BoostFed325 11-15-2004, 10:26 PM its just the aa stage 2 i havent dont a thing to it.
i have AA turbo exhaust
Armo95 11-15-2004, 11:00 PM If he's trapping in the 120's, you gotta be trapping in the HIGH 120's, low 130's to pull on him like that ...
Nice work ...

60-1 or 20g? Your car is pulling real hard if you are beating cars that trap 120. Way to go :)
BoostFed325 11-16-2004, 02:25 AM its a td06
dinan325i 11-16-2004, 03:06 AM How much power would you gain if you did that thing called ported and polish?? I'm still not even sure what that means really, but eveytime someone does it to there engine I guess it gives alot of power??? Yeah man you must have a very fast car. There's soooo many mods you can still do to your car.
LWRNCE 11-16-2004, 06:24 AM Crazy sh!t boostfed!
hsmith 11-16-2004, 10:10 AM Nice kill, your 325 is mad fast!!! :redspot You got yourself a real sleeper.
IS 300_M 11-16-2004, 11:01 AM How much power are you making to the wheels ?

JAMESZ 11-16-2004, 09:05 PM Jason runs a 60ft 1.968 1/8th 8.130 @ 95.54 1/4 12.237 @ 122.46
His car is pretty quick you have to be trapping well over 130 to even pull on him like that. His car is pretty well built. Impressive run it's hard to believe your pulling on cars like Jasons Z like that.
cheaploopjob 11-16-2004, 09:14 PM Is that time above with the 100 shot or no?
I love the old turbo Z's... I used to have a Z32TT myself
:buttrock

He is but it is still amazing. He is on a stock NA short block and he has a stock fuel system and stock computer. His car is quick I know he ran again since that time and all I know is he trapped 124 and ran faster but I don't remember the times.
JAMESZ 11-16-2004, 09:33 PM Boostfed it looks like those guys backing you up on that site cause you alot of problems lol. I want to see the video of the re-run.
JAMESZ 11-17-2004, 01:15 AM i didn't read up on his turbo info, but i know he sprays a 100 shot.
Here is what he is running.
T3/T04S(60-1) w/ stage 3 turbine: stock t3 .63A/R exhaust housing bored for stage 3 turbine, stock center section, .70A/R T04S compressor.
Joey325i 11-17-2004, 02:45 AM stage 2 runs the td06 20g, stage 3 upgrades to the 60-1 and the stage 4 is the 61, nice kill, i need to drive my car, its just sitting in the garage :D
Carlos The Elf 11-17-2004, 02:51 AM Slap hands.

loan it to me, I'll drive it :D

port and polish is where the intake and exhaust ports on the cylinder head are machined to larger bores and smoothed to allow maximum airflow. in a forced induction car, it can realise some serious power. on n/a cars, you are generally not going to see appreciable gains unless you have a larger displacement engine.
p.s. nice kill, put those jap suckers in their place.
JAMESZ 11-17-2004, 03:51 PM put those jap suckers in their place. And what place would that be?
BoostFed325 11-18-2004, 09:49 PM lol...
we are rematching tonight.
I think hes pulling everything off tonight he can....
ill have a video soon

Coulda fooled me. Seems I see guys slap down $2k all the time for P&P LS1 heads. On a typical full bolt-on and cam car, ported heads will net you anywhere from 25-100 rwhp depending on how crazy you get with the heads (read: how much $$$$) and how many other mods you have to the car. 99+ Mustangs get an easy 40-50 rwhp from a set of p&p heads. Seen those results directly before and after on the dyno. Head porting, if done correctly, is a good thing all the way around. But, you can sure-nuff' f-up a set of heads real quick like if you dont know what your doing.
gateguardian 11-18-2004, 10:23 PM where in MI did this take place?
///3oris 11-19-2004, 01:17 AM port and polish is where the intake and exhaust ports on the cylinder head are machined to larger bores and smoothed to allow maximum airflow. in a forced induction car, it can realise some serious power. on n/a cars, you are generally not going to see appreciable gains unless you have a larger displacement engine.

Sorry, don't mean to get off topic, but I would think this be the opposite.
When you have an N/A car things like scavanging, flow, port sizes/air velocities matter a great deal to producing power... when you're running forced induction you're essensially stuffing air into the engine. Unless the valve isn't open long enough to fill the differential gap between the cylinder and the intake manifold I would think a P&P would have minimal gains. I'm talking more about Turbocharged cars as Supercharged cars DO respond much better to N/A type mods... since they're crank driven. Either way, I'll be testing this theory out pretty soon ;)
Boris
P.S. I'm assuming no cam overlap
treynor 11-19-2004, 02:55 AM If the Z traps 122, I'm going to hazard a guess that the BMW traps 126-128. The pull is gradual, but becomes more pronounced as speeds rise. That's pretty impressive power!
> on n/a cars, you are generally not going to see appreciable gains
That's simply not the case.
BoostFed325 11-19-2004, 09:54 AM well we went again... he ran more juice and more boost.
100shot and 18lbs of boost.
i would call it a tie, it kinda looks like he is ahead at the end but if you look at the start it looks that way to but we are actually even. *i think my seats are back farther and my friend is shooting the cam a little foward instead of straight across*
since he turned everything up this race costed him his head gasket. it barly made it back.
thats my friend talking during the race..
www.yourboymatt.net/BMV_vs_Nissan_Tie.mpg
JAMESZ 11-19-2004, 12:24 PM That was a good race. Considering I think he probably was a very high 11 second car with all those stops pulled out. Your BMW is really quick. But I am surprised he lost a head gasket. Did he go lean because the car is still on the stock fuel system and computer? You got a lil jump at the beginning but that is probably right before he hit the nitrous.
mihalis 11-19-2004, 12:38 PM Your car is just sick!!! Awesome power man and a great upset for the other guy. Every race you posted so far you have whipped some major a$$, keep it up!!!
JAMESZ 11-19-2004, 12:53 PM Every race you posted so far you have whipped some major a$$
Did you watch the last race? It was a tie.
mihalis 11-19-2004, 12:59 PM Did you watch the last race? It was a tie.
No which one was that? I guess I missed it...
BoostFed325 11-19-2004, 01:13 PM i loved the race.
fun as hell and a really cool Z
JAMESZ 11-19-2004, 03:12 PM Well that Z got owned by an SUV today. It isn't bad but yeah. I thought you said he blew a head gasket?
BoostFed325 11-19-2004, 03:37 PM i thought he did.
ya i talked to him.. damn suv
JAMESZ 11-19-2004, 04:02 PM Yeah it isn't too bad though he just needs a new fender.
I am really impressed with you BMW. Your running very good to keep up with that Z like that you are easily a low 12 high 11 second car. I won't be surprised if you take it to the track and run in the 11s all day long. Congrats on a sweet BMW.
