Sunday was a busy day as you guys can tell from my Title. It all started from first thing in the morning. I got up early and headed up north to go visit my gf. The road was pretty much empty, so I was pushing 90-100mph on 93N. All of a sudden I check my rear view and a silver Mazda 6 is coming down hard in the left lane. I keep it in fifth and take it to about 105 or so and he starts to tailgate, so I floor it in 5th and start to walk on him a little, then I decided to show him some real power and rev matched it to 4th and was out. There was a car in the left lane so I signaled my way around him. The Mazda decided to be a jerk and started tailgating the poor guy until he got out of his way. So I'm way up ahead now and decide to wait for him for another run. I cruise at 90 in 5th in the second to left lane and I see him coming down really hard on the left. I shift to 4th and wait for him, once he is close, I floor it too, since he had so much momentum already his hood got in front for a sec and then I started to walk him pretty easily, I hit 130mph and check my mirrors and had left him a good distance behind [must have hit a limiter or something.] Not a bad run I thought, no traffic, empty 4-lane highway, the 6 v6 is pretty quick esp in a 5-pseed like that one was.
Then I exit 93N and get one 125. Ahead I see an A6 2.7T [I think this was auto] Light turns green up ahead, he was in the right lane and I was about 4cl's back aproaching, once I pass the light, I switched to the left lane and give it a little more in 2nd to pass him, but I notice I am not closing the gap :eek: Then I floor it and start to close on him, switch to 3rd and I was almost cuaght up, by the top of third I had him by more than 1 cl :redspot We stop at the light up ahead, I shut off the DSC. I start to look around for cops[state police station not too far down,] but the light turns green before I noticed it, he jumps a little bit and I didn't launch properly, but still didn't matter, by the top of first i was 1/2 a car on him, by the time I was hitting 90 in 3rd I had taken him by 3-4 cl's :buttrock
Later that morning, I was on my way to the pharmacy. There was an older Maxima SE [not the 255hp model though the 222hp] in front of me. We both make a left onto 114 and he was in front, he took off, so I rev 1st to 4K rpms shift to 2nd and start to play catch up. I was about 3 cl behind and just kept closing on him :buttrock By the time I started to slow down, I had him by 1 cl. Now we are at the red light. I shut off the DSC again, this time I get right on it on the light...but forgot that I'm running winters! :mad I spinned the whole way of 1st, and then when it finally caught, I hit the redline :( shift it to 2nd [we are still head to head though] and start to gain on him :) by the top of second, I had him by a good cl and was about to switch into his lane and cut him off for the next light [had cars in my lane] but decided to back off and let him pass. When I looked over at him as he was passing me, I saw him laughing :confused He seriously thought his car was faster than mine that is why he was passing me...I felt like I was racing a ricer. Anyway, those were some pretty good runs for one day, still haven't lost yet, but there will be a day when somebody will be laughing at me for real, until then, I will keep on enjoying my baby kicking butt :alright
