Seriously, this morning is the third run-in that I've had with GT owners and every one of them were acting like a putz. I'll recap:
About two months ago I am in one of two turning lanes (in the E39) going through our green light when I see a GT vert in front start to romp on it. I finally get through the traffic to catch and play and he bites. He gives it all he can to get away on this straight but he can't shake me. We come up to a right hand turn HOT and I back off some because I know that he wasn't going to make it as fast as he was going and sure enough when he tries to make the turn his azz end comes whipping around to the left, then back right and he flip flops liks this a few times. I make it through the turn with my rear stepping out slightly, but I can easily correct and have to back way off on the throttle as to not plow into the Ford fish flopping out of water. He finally gets it straight again and guns it, but again, he can't lose me (nor could I pass him though). I come up to my turn and wave...he flips me a bird. :confused
About one month ago while on a two lane highway a thug in a GT pulls out in front of me from a stoplight and when I run up close to him he slams on the brakes waving his finger in a no-no fashion! :nono So from there he proceeds to just melt the tires and try to school me and get away. I'm in the E38 with a trunk full of groceries, wife and kid and he tries to pull away, but he can't, plus there's alot of traffic. So the next few miles go like this: he slows way down to let traffic get ahead then stomps it (ooh, I was impressed too!). I just keep a safe distance each time to avoid his idiotic antics but each time he takes off he never pulls away, I'm just maintaining the gap. He'd run up on the azz of a car, then back off again. Finally he pulls off, I wave and he replies with another thug burnout onto his street. :(
This morning (in the E39) another GT flies by to get out of traffic and it just so happens that I had the same idea but had to wait for him to go first, so once he runs by I pull out and catch him. Once again, lots of traffic but he's giving it hell to try and pull away, but no go. It's a two lane divided highway so I manage to end up in front of him as the lane I chose was moving faster so he jumps out to tailgate me so close that I can't even see his headlights. I'm pretty much done fooling around since there's no where to go with all of the traffic but this dude was doing some stupid junk to try and run again. At one point we're in the left lane and come up to a short turn lane that allows U-turns so he weaves over into it like he's going to pass me :shifty but obviously has to get back behind me or eat the concrete median. For about the next mile he's running up on other cars weaving around revving trying to show his and get in front of me. I didn't even bother with a wave this time as this guy is a tool. I really just wanted to roll down the window and ask him why his mighty V8 couldn't lose my puny 6er, but ehh....it's not worth it.
*Bonus* - The GT that I did lose to occured when I came to a complete stop at a light to put the car in first and he was still rolling up when the light changed....real nice!
I'm really beginning to think/experience Mustang drivers are worse than BMW drivers are ever supposed to be.
