View Full Version : Alpina E21?
SilverBeam 11-12-2004, 12:34 AM I think that is what I saw today, it might have been done up by another company, but it was NICE! Maybe Hartge, I'm not sure, it was going the other direction than me on the freeway. Traffic was going about 30mph so I was able to get at least an okay look at it.
THe car was white, seemed to have some euro things to it, like bumpers and lights, and it had a spoiler on the back. There was a badge on the left side of rear, my first thought was Alpina, but like I said, could be anything. First, anyone know of anyone who would be on the 5 south in Burbank with a white modified E21? Second, anyone have pictures of alpina, hartge, etc E21s? This thing was beautiful!
oldskool3 11-12-2004, 12:59 AM there is some pretty shitty pics of an alpina e21 on this site.

ok ok its my cousins car (320iAlpina)
SilverBeam 11-12-2004, 03:51 AM The car didn't have paint like that down the side, so who knows.
Was that really you?
uberpanzer 11-12-2004, 04:30 AM Might have been Matt, one of the e21 guys that was at Bimmerfest with us. Lemme see if I can find a pic....
Yup...I checked with her on AIM, sent her a pic of the rear of Matt's car (from a distance at Bimmerfest), and she believes it to be the same. Nice spotting!
SilverBeam 11-12-2004, 04:39 AM Looks like it was Matt's, from what Doug showed me. If anyone has some nice full car shots of it, please post them up.
check this link out: Matt's Hartge H3 E21 (http://e21.tricord.cjb.net/registry/index.php?view=30)
What was it? One of 11 H3's ever built?
SilverBeam 11-12-2004, 01:25 PM the spoiler seemed to be the same, it very well come have been that one. i can't be 100% sure since i didn't get a very good look at it.
Oh, and about 2 seconds later an E34 M5 passed going in the same direction :love1 i don't know where they were going, but i wouldn't have minded being there!
Hartge82H3 11-12-2004, 01:38 PM Sorry, but no that wasn't me. Mine is tucked away in a warm garage while her seats are getting re-up'd in leather. If the car you saw does turn out to be some version of Hartge I'd love to see it though.
blitzed310 11-12-2004, 04:47 PM Could be this guy named Phang, he has a white "optic" Alpina 323i, met him awhile back, hes from Pasadena.
Reminds me of when I got pulled over on the freeway by the CHP and he told me, "Hey isnt this the Alpine car from Europe?" Told him it was and he told me to keep the "mph's down" :D
