Hi people, newbie here.

I am paying for a Z3 Coupe 2002 3.0i, can't say own yet till I am done with these car payments.

Anywho, I would like to know where I can get the rear trailing arm for this car for a good price not the $5 benjamins that the dealer is asking for.

Here is what had happen, appologize for the long story.

On the way home from work on 826 going east, I was doing like 75-80mph. Going slightly faster then the traffice but not flying yet. I was on the right lane and all of a sudden I see this bump on the road, did not know what it was and I was unable to stop nor swerve away due to traffic on the left.

Had no choice but to go straight so bumpidy bumpidy it went. The car felt a little shaky a little bit. Decided to make a U-ee and see what it was. Come to find out it was a bag of sand so the it was a smooth bump at high speed. Thought the wheels were bent.

After I got home that night, that is when i realize the rear wheel was slightly tilted inward (positive camber). Check the rims and they seem undamaged since it was a smooth bump.

Took it to the dealership to check it out, thought it I was going to get it repaired under warrenty but my service advisor told me the rear trailing arm is bent and the wheel bearing was also bad. Front suspension is fine, rims are fine just the rear Trailing arm.

How could this be?? The car has only 37k miles.

The car goes thru tires like a fat lady does with a bucket of chicken.

So my question is where I can get a replacement rear trailing arm -right side- and a wheel bearing for a decent price.

Probably not since I don't think impact damage is covered. Though insurance might cover it, though you will pay for it in the long run. Try BMP, turner and if all else fails a salvage yard.
