hey my boy and i were drivin in providence in his 450 HP wrx pushin about 20 lbs of boost and we saw a guy (looked like a chill dude) in a brand new M3 red...this guy is the only thing to ever beat the wrx and we had a good race where you must of hit at least 150 cuz we were rollin at like 140 and u were 4 cl ahead ...what the hell do u have under that hood.....seein if ur around

very few e46 m3s would put down enough power to keep up with a 450hp car. forced induction is rare in new M3s. WRXs usually cant do so well on the highway but when u r pushing 450hp M3s shouldnt be much of a problem. I'm no expert though.

Well there is a red e46 m3 that is usually on thayer street. I think he works at or owns one of the clubs, i doubt this is it, because it looks very stock, but you could go check it out.

450hp WRX? lets see the mod list. I think your friends # maybe a little inflated. Are you talking crank or wheel horse power? :confused WRX's usually run out of steam over 110mph, 150 is where the e46 M3 lives. :)

what are the power mods that get him to 400??? :confused Sorry to doubt your friends car. I just have never heard of a WRX pushing 400hp with out major mods.

A lightly modded STi will give an e46 a run for its money. :)

and who ever said the e46 m3 lives at 150, i believe its top speed is 158 or 159. 130 is a more reasonable speed.

-vf22 turbo (21 psi)
-all supporting fuel mods
-full stainless steal turbo back exhaust
-no cats = no back pressure
-helix flex up pipe
-perrin lightned crank pulley
-AEM cold air intake
-APS Huge Frontmount intercooler (painted black)
-link 44S standalone ECU
all in all this setup is good for about 400-430 crank horse =330ish wheel horse. Also it holds full boost to 7500rpm redline so it doesnt slow down at high speeds. All in a wagon...

Yup that is one badass sleeper, especially with the black intercooler. Ive seen that paint for it. Looks fuckin cool. Keep it clean.

450hp wrx is hard to believe.
A friend of mine has a "what I call" heavely modded WRX and he only puts down around 340(which he claims to be alot).

Also, another local, Rick, owns one of the sickest StI's around and I don't think it had broken 400(not sure)...His car is amazing...

Anyhow, might of been the kid from brown.
