I just bought a 94 318is with a 4 cylinder. Had it 1 week and now will not shift into Drive - if I drop it back to 3 it shifts fine through 1, 2, 3 but put it in D and it feels like it has a parachute tied to the back of the car? Any ideas? Probably not what I want to hear.......car has 180K on it.
