Do you guys have any tips? I found one from Auto Advantage with a power train warranty up to 100k. The car is 34995. For sale by a used dealership that only deals with BMW. It has 56,000 miles and they'll let me buy a warranty up to 125,000. What do you look for in earlier models M3? I was thinking about just leasing a new one. This would allow me to make the same payments and beat on it though.

Don't get the aftermarket warrenty. Those are offered by independent companies and, more often than not, you pay more for the warrenty that they pay out.

So true. Find a good used CPO M3 through a franchise BMW dealer (don't be afraid to look far and wide), if you can find a 2001 model you get the 100k/6yr warranty through the manufacturer. Also, I got 1.9% for 60 months and first payment paid by bmw financial so I am paying this thing down quick.

1st off, don't get that extended warranty, not worth the money. Second off Auto Advantage which I almost bought a 323Ci from is a ok dealership. They have some real nice bmws and they prep them well, but they are overpriced for the most part and do not negotiate, which I don't like. This car here could be had for around 33-34 from a private party for the same car.
