So I am driving back from my "scrumptious" lunch at Taco Johns when a Camry pulls out and passes. So what, right? The next light was green, but he was braking. :confused
He then proceeded to wait until the light turned red, obviously wanting to race me. I stop in the other lane next to him and he starts revving and power braking. I look over and laugh, a camry power braking? That really struck fear into my heart! :rolleyes
The light hit green, I go WOT and surpass him by a good 2 car lengths. I know its not much, but my car is pretty slow, and it was 13 years older than the camry. I eventually ended up winning by almost 3 carlengths, but I wasn't proud. I still killed him though. :devillook

Had he tried that against your Bronco, you coulda gone Monster Truck style on him.

Nice race. Makes me wonder if somebody's child was driving their mom's camry...

For optimum launch in an automatic FWD car, you manually hold up the emergency brake with your thumb on the trigger, it holds the rear tires in place while you bring the revs up.

You can line-lock it with the brake pedal, but it's counter-intuitive and allows for a more brutal launch, which cause wheelspin off the line, so if you want "optimum" launch (launching at the very brink of wheelspin, without inducing wheelspin, etc), use the e-brake method with auto-tranny'd FWD cars....

Don't underestimate Camry's. I drove my friend's stock 92 Camry (treadwear on tires was 740!) at an autocross a few months ago and trophied. In my class, I beat a pair of SRT-4's and an Integra, among others. Granted autox is more driver skill than the car, but they still got beat by a Camry. Nice kill though, I just had to stick up for the Camry cause I own one.
