Is anyone in the OC area know of a decent BMW technician? I was a big grease monkey when it came to my hondas, and would much rather learn how to work on my bimmer myself, but since my friends call me outcast :devillook since I switched to the euro side, none of them really know how to work on the darn thing.

So either...

A) find a decent, well priced mechanic

B) do it myself

I'd much rather do the work myself, but is someone willing to check out the car to see what kind of work needs to be done? Beers are on me!

what kind of work are expecting to be doing? I've done all the work on my
E36 myself, so if you have anything specific in mind, let me know and I'll try
to help you out if I can.

just the basic maintenance right now, i just purchased the vehicle, so I want to get down and dirty and make sure it's running properly before I start slapping on the modfest.

RTAB, RSM, the basic stuff first.

Appreciate the offer DinanS52! I'll be PMing you soon.

I just purchased it, just wanted someone who knew what they were looking at to see what kind of major maintenance it needs and to recommend the right parts to install.

I'm doing my first bmw oil change myself tomorrow :buttrock

Appreciate all the feedback. I love these forums! :redspot
