I have an X3 with xenon headlights. I bought new bulbs for the running lightor whatever its called. The one that is always on when the xenon's are not on. I cant figure out how to get to the bulb. In the book it only explains how to take apart halogen assembly but not xenons. Can somebody help?

I believe the daytime running lights use the inner, halogen lamps, not the xenon HID lamps. You shouldn't be fooling with the HIDs if you have a burnt out DRL. Check the manual for how to change the high beam halogen bulb.
Remember, don't touch the bulb with your fingers. The oil from your skin will shorten bulb life.

Im trying to replace the Halogen but i cant figure out how to get to them. In the manual the instructions are for the regular headlights which is a different setup than the halogens with xenons???????

Usually in most BMW's the HID ballasts (Not Bulbs) are directly placed behind the high beam bulbs, which means that you might have to take out the HID ballast holder to get to the High beams.

Well, for the e39 you can unscrew the ballast off. Could be the same for yours aswell.
