So the GF and I are on our way to a nice dinner with some friends Saturday night when I see someone playing peek-a-boo with my rearview mirror. :confused
He's back and forth trying to dislodge himself from the small pack of traffic he's caught in, I'm out front cruising at about 60. :redspot
Over a rise and wouldn't you know the light on the other side just turned yellow and he cleared the pack. :evil2
He and I side by side light goes green and he hesitates a split second I hit it immediately but then let off slightly when he didn't take. :confused Perhaps he was just trying to get a look and not make a run at it. Ok cool.
Nope.
Here he comes those things actually sound pretty good at WOT! Anyway I jump back on it 4k RPM's and instantly there he goes. We wind out the first two gears and climb well into third he's about 3 cl's back. I let off all the way and he caught up pretty quickly. As soon as I could see his front bumper out the passenger window I jumpped on it again.
And away he went again. :alright
I don't know what he had done to it. It had the brembo brake kit so I believe that it was 'sport package' equipped otherwise :dunno
Kudos though it wasn't quite the cake walk that I thought and those things look pretty nice. If I was in the market I might be convinced... He gave a big smile and a bigger thumbs up and took the next exit where we continued on.
Also - earlier that morning an older gentleman in a brand new 745Li jumpped me off the line. I had to put down my coffee to catch up but when I passed him he had a big smile on his face.... :eek:
Over all an eventful day and it gave us a conversation topic over dinner! :buttrock
