I have a customer interested in a Borla Exhaust but he has a 2004 model yea cooper S. Did BMW/Mini change the exhaust layout on the 2004 models or is it the same as 2002-03?

Yes, the exhaust hangers on the 04 cars have a different layout to the 02-03 cars.

There's a 90 degree rotation in a muffler hanger on either side... that's why many exhausts do not fit the '04.

The UUC exhaust for MINI does fit the '04... our mounting system attaches directly to the original top brace/strap which is the same design through '04.
