Does anyone knows when would the X5 be remodeled ?
I am thinking in changing my 525 for a 3 liters X5 but with the changes done to the new 5 series, and soon the 3 series, I am a little bit worried of something similar ocuring to the X5 shortly.

first year x5 2000
new model 2007
that is the way it SHOULD occur!
but you never know for sure.
that means September to October 2006 the new vehicles should arrive.
I have a 1 year old x5 and Im already dreading the model release dates, such is life.

Redesign (major facleift?) is due for the 06 model year. Production for 06 begins September/October 05.

We're bummed too. We turn in our 02 in January. We already ordered its 05 replacement. Looking forward to getting the 05, just hope that I continue to like it after the 06 is released.

I agree with BigFish that the next major redesign for the X5 is more likely a 2007 model appearing in late 2006 (or even a 2008 appearing in late 2007). If it were to be a 2006 model release, we should have seen photos of the car already...just like the next 3-series (a 2006 model).

It doesn't look a whole lot different from the current model.

That is just a photochop picture. I'll believe it when someone snap a camo test mule.

Some interesting photoshops in that link there. I don't expect to see any spy photos of the next gen. X5 for another year or so.
