View Full Version : Official JGTC Bimmerforums.com Car Club Info
sportcarm3 11-01-2004, 10:35 PM The previous JGTC Thread was spent recruiting people for the event, people's miscommunication and still cause's confusion. So I am making this thread to say cleary what is happening with our Bimmerforums JGTC Group.
We needed at least 15 People to pay in order to make this possible, the minimum 15 have paid and our spot is guranteed, anyone else who wants to Join our group can simply go to the following link, in the drop down menu select bimmerforums and add to cart then fill out the info and pay, simple as that you are done and added to our group! Please do not call Stephen Dietrich he is very busy and has put this site together for our convenience, he has asked that we look to the website for all info needed, if you have any questions please ask in this thread or pm myself or PourkyM3. All tickets will be sent to PourkyM3, he is the car club organizer who I thank for putting all of this together for us.
Link to pay and Join our group:
http://www.jgtcusa.net/store/product_info.php/products_id/65
If you are not sure what JGTC is or what the car club event that we have put together is please refer to the previous thread and the first pages info on the event. The link is located below:
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=253140
Now to make the Official list of people who have paid, I will start with the people I know who have paid, if you have paid for your car club pass already just add your name to the list so we can get an idea of all who are going. Only add your name to the list if you have paid DO NOT add your name if you are planning to pay but have not paid yet.

so when the tickets get mailed out, they go only to the crew organiser right? or does it come directly to me?
sportcarm3 11-02-2004, 03:38 AM so when the tickets get mailed out, they go only to the crew organiser right? or does it come directly to me?
The ticket goes to Pourkym3 then he will give it to you, we are all in so cal so we can all arrange ways of meeting up to get the tickets, if you are not in so cal, when you come out for jgtc im sure you could meet up before the event. The reason the tickets get mailed to one member is that we are supposed to have an actual "club" of members that all have the same car and have Sunday brunch's etc. In our case it is a bunch of unfamiliar faces from a forum. But as soon as tickets get received a post will be made about meeting up to get them dispursed.

Well just paid, $68.50? I guess it wasn't $65 or 66 anymore. Anyone doing the extra $30 or $50 for the autoctross?
Mp0wer2384 11-07-2004, 04:15 AM one question, If I am bring a friend in my car, how does that work? pay the $66 twice??
eneyeengee 11-07-2004, 05:01 AM one question, If I am bring a friend in my car, how does that work? pay the $66 twice??
the person with the car pays $66 (you) and your friend pays the base price ($50 i believe), unless he wants to pay for dyno, autox, registration and if he wants to walk around the track during the fan lap :dunno

Its tomorrow! :buttrock
PourkyM3 12-18-2004, 03:13 AM I will be there at 9am anybody else? Also those who have the car club pass; I got this from Stephen so read up and see what you'll need for tomorrow at the gates:
Dear Car Club Members,
First off, a big thank you for supporting GT Live. As you know we have
had some issues in putting on the fan lap. Our goal is to create a new
type of motor sport event that provides the highest entertainment
value. This requires experimentation, especially in the first year, and
along the way some things do not work out as planned. We apologize for
having to limit the participation in the fan lap to 250 cars. To make
up for this we have done the following:
• All car club participants now park in the infield in a newly created
car club zone. We displaced two other attractions to make room for you.
• All car club participants receive a parking pass with in-out
privileges. You are the only ones with this type of access.
• Those of you who are not able to participate in the fan lap receive a
free wristband for the VIP Grand Stand on both Saturday and Sunday, a
$20 value. The VIP Grand Stand is purpose-built for GT Live and sits
right on top of the best infield action. On Saturday this will be a
great place to see some serious braking duels between the JGTC cars. On
Sunday the VIP Grand Stand once again gives you a spectacular view of
all the JGTC action and provides the best viewing for D1, XDL and
Formula D. The VIP Grand Stand lets you see down the straight and
through the corner section for maximum coverage. And by limiting access
you will know you have a seat. Stephen will be handing out the VIP
wristbands on Saturday in the Car Club Zone.
The attached map provides you with a venue layout for:
• The entire GT Live venue
• The location of the Car Club Zone
• The path into the Car Club Zone
Some instructions on getting in:
• If you are in the fan lap, please arrive by 12:00 noon or we will not
be able to stage you. You may start to come in as early as 6:00am when
the gates open. We will park all car clubs that participate in the fan
lap in one section of the Car Club Zone. You’ll receive a map with a
specific parking location once you get to the lot. Please stay in the
right hand lane through the tunnel and be patient so we can get
everyone parked.
• Make sure to print the attached parking pass PDF and display it in
the windshield of your car as you come into the tunnel. Without it you
will not get in. Once inside our staff will replace your temporary pass
with a permanent one for the rest of the weekend.
About the fan lap:
• Car count is limited to 250.
• Staging commences at 1:30pm. You must be at your car by then so you
do not become the source of a traffic jam.
• We will take you from the Car Club Zone to pit lane and line you up
three wide. The goals is to get all participants out of the Car Club
Zone and onto pit lane by the 14:30 start time.
• You will be following a pace for one lap around the track. Please
stay close to the car in front of you to ensure a nice clean run. We
cannot allow any kind of antics such as burn-outs, sudden stop-and-gos,
or anything else that poses a satefy threat to the other participants.
Fire & Safety will be lined up all along the track and pick out unsafe
behavior. They will take down your license number and pull you out of
the event. If they feel you are a safety problem they are entitled to
toss you out of GT Live all together, so please be careful.
• At the conclusion of your lap you will be instructed to return to the
Car Club lot. Please return to your original parking spot to avoid
conflicts with other car club participants.
Tents:
Each club over 15 cars was promised and will receive a tent. We are
lining those up along the northern and southern edge of the Car Club
Zone. Your club’s name will be posted on each tent.
T-shirts:
Stephen will be handing out T-shirts on Saturday after all the cars
have been parked in the Car Club Zone.
Once again, thank you very much for your support and sorry for the fan
lap situation. Looking forward to meeting you at GT Live.

tomas3314 12-18-2004, 11:43 AM Alright guys see you there, :buttrock !!!
PourkyM3 12-19-2004, 12:29 AM Did anybody get a shirt, vip stand pass, or fan lap? I know some people couldn't go and I'm kinda pissed since not everyone got to go together. Also whoever gets a gold of Stephen (Car Club Director) let him know that we want our shirts since it is included with out tickets and also where we can find him and get them tomorrow. See some of you guys tomorrow.
P.S - Also this time print out the 2 pieces of paper so that you can park in the actual track.
TheSquidd 12-19-2004, 03:36 AM I'm in SO much pain. I don't know how I'll survive day 2. Pics soon.
eneyeengee 12-20-2004, 11:13 PM That was a great event! :buttrock
Thanks for organizing it PourkyM3 (Most of us still don't even know your name, haha)!
Sorry for calling and bugging you so much about everything.
The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't find where all of you guys parked, all I saw was random sets of 2-3 bmw's parked everywhere so I just parked next to some of my friends from school.
This was the first event of its kind, so there were bound to be some problems and there were.
I have a lot of pictures and some video. I will upload them once I get a chance to resize them for the web, and edit the crap out of the video.

PourkyM3 12-21-2004, 01:04 AM Hahaha! My name is Kourosh (some people call me K.P) Yeah the 2nd day was much better than the 1st since I found some of the members and also the events going (drift contest) Don'[t worry about all the calls, I tried my best to get everyone's phone call to make sure you all had a good time and I hope I made most of your days fun and exciting at the event. Hopefully there will be more of these events which we can all attend. Thanks to all who attended.
