Could you explain this to me? Does this go on the rear axel?

it covers your oil pan basically.

The X-brace ties the frame rails to the front sub frame. It does sit right under the oil pan. The brace comes on Z3's, cabrios, and the 95 M3 LTW. It is a great upgrade made even better by being a factory part.

This is a great mod that you can actually feel!

I just installed a used one. You need to remove the current straight brace and can re-use the 2 bolts from that. You will need 4 bolts, no nuts, to complete the install. I picked these up at a local store. Easy DIY.

This is all true, but not all cars come with threaded sub frames. Those cars need nutserts. Also while the factory cars use 4 bolts to hold the front of the x-brace to the front sub frame, I supply 6 bolts and 6 nutserts (plus the brace all for $115 shipped) so you can utilize all of the holes.

Right, mine is a 7/95 build date and I had the nutserts already, must be early model 95's that don't, not sure when the cutoff date was.

Just found out that if your build is 10/94 or later you WON"T need to do the nutserts.

Before 10/94 you do....go to www.understeer.com for a great writeup w/pics on the DIY.

I needed them on my 97 318i/4 when I had that. I think the M3's might be the ones that don't need them but I am not totally sure.

My supplier is mthisz3, the one posting in this thread. Two weeks isn't too bad to wait, my car won't fall apart before it gets here. Speaking of which, how long will it take the get the brace, I paid for it last night?
