Where do these things come from? How many McLarens were made? Just a handfull, right? Where are the rest of the parts? Could it be stolen?

That would certainly seem to be a likely possibility, but with so few in existance, how many of them are crash damaged and what happened to all of the other parts?
I'm not trying to suggest any particular thought, just wondering out loud. Apina B12s and McLaren F1's are so rare that is is unlikely to ever see one, much less a wrecked one.

Maybe the seller bought it from the McClaren parts dept but didn't end up using it. Some kind of no return policy for items in opened boxes :D
