Where did you get your aluminum guage rings? geno 10-27-2004, 11:11 AM Where did you get your aluminum guage rings? ebay. There are many to choose from: chrome, stainless, aluminum. I went with aluminum because I don't like it too shiny and I don't want sun reflecting in my eyes if it hit's it just right. Do a search for "e38 rings" and it will get you a few. They are in the $35 - $75 + shipping range. Qsilver7 10-27-2004, 12:00 PM The Z8 & E38 both have a 72.5mm wheel hub...so there shouldn't be a problem with the Z8 Alpina wheel. The link below (to the online ETK parts database) will give you the wheels dimensions and offset...again which is in spec for the e38. http://rust.mine.nu/bmw/showparts.do?model=EJ23&mospid=45809&prod=20030600&btnr=36_0704&hg=36&fg=15&x=148&y=101 http://rust.mine.nu/bmw/images/w/4812.png Reed Hunt 10-27-2004, 12:27 PM The Z8 & E38 both have a 72.5mm wheel hub...so there shouldn't be a problem with the Z8 Alpina wheel. Qsilver7 10-27-2004, 02:15 PM Yeah, I guess it's been a while since I've posted here. I come over to check out what's going on every now-and-then...but rarely post...btw, nothing against anyone either. That "snakebitten" thread is off the chain...it has a life of it own! It appears RF took a big dump or something...it's been down a pretty long time. Reed Hunt 10-27-2004, 02:41 PM Yeah, I guess it's been a while since I've posted here. And, what are you doing with yourself if RF is down? (besides posting over here...) Qsilver7 10-27-2004, 06:21 PM Man I have answers coming out my fingertips but no questions! :D Nothing but "upper classmen" here...there's no one to rescue from "newbness" and shine the bright light from the heavenly Roundel to lead them to a path of BMW satisfied ownership. I actually had to do more work today! umnitza 10-27-2004, 06:29 PM The Z8 & E38 both have a 72.5mm wheel hub...so there shouldn't be a problem with the Z8 Alpina wheel. The Beastmaster 10-27-2004, 08:42 PM Hey Q, nice rack! :biglaughb The Shadowchaser 10-27-2004, 09:49 PM What do you guys think about these? I saw this over on the 5 series forum. They are the new Iforged Essens with 5" lip. The ones shown below are 20x8.5 Fronts and 20x10 Rears. The black ones may look cool on a Black E38, but I would rather the brushed aluminum finish with the chrome lip on my Arctic silver E38. http://www.iforged.com/essenside.jpg ny-sevens 10-27-2004, 09:52 PM What do you guys think about these?
