Hello, I am brand new to the Seattle area. I got in a minor fender bender in the parking garage last night unfortunately. Cracked my front bumper reflector, scraped up the bumper a bit, and put a minor dent and scrap in my rear panel. Needless to say I am totally bummed about all of this and now I need to find a body shop to do the work.

I called up BMW Seattle and they recommended Metro Auto Rebuild, Reuthsford, and Accucraft (in that order). I'm not sure which of these are on my insurance (USAA) perfered body shop list.

Does anyone have experience with these places or any others they could recommend? Thanks.

Just to follow up, BMW Seattle recommended I use Metro Auto Rebuild. I'm going to drop my car off there tonight and the USAA Appraiser should meet with them tomorrow. Hope all goes well. I wonder if they will harass me about my painted front bumper reflectors (one got smashed in the fender bender unfortunately)?

Steve's custom cars in the Park Place LTD lot

I've heard from some other BMW owners that this shops are good.

DO NOT USE METRO!!!!

BMW uses them, due to the fact they get KICKBACKS!

My roomate had them work on his M-roadster and they did a piss poor job! He had to take it back 4 times to get it done properly, then Metro got a parking ticket on it and he got stuck paying for it.

Use Haurys on Lake city way, they are by far the best out there!!

YUP! They argued with the cop, and she wrote it down. When he went to fight it, the judge was not impressed with Mel's stories of how it was not him, and that he should not curse out a Police officer.

This was also DAMAGE THAT BMW SEATTLE did to his car, they dropped a jack on his quarter panel.

I will never take my car to either place.

I'll second haury's. They're damn expensive but worth it if you've got the scratch (or someone else is picking up the tab.)

Haury's has been good and not that expensive compared to other quotes...
I've had 3 repairs there...

Jeff Butler and Zac Underwood run a very professional operation at their Lake City shop. Jeff is a BMW CCA member and a driving school instructor for the Puget Sound Chapter. Haury's is also an advertiser in the Club magazine Zundfolge. They've done two jobs for me with outstanding results and at a reasonable price. You can't go wrong if you have your repairs done at Haury's.

I agree not to go to Metro, we have had bad work come out of that shop.
