I have a set of m3 wheels if you want to use them. They have the pilot mxxx3's on them. I am stuck running the bbs's this weekend because I dont have spacers for my other wheels. As far as brakes go , you will be completely fine with your xdrilled with pbr's . You would be lucky if you see speeds above 60mph.

If anyone has a course map for this weekend please post!!!!

I am trying to get a bunch of people to go like m5 steve , his boy with the S4 and 2 kids with wrx's also there is some kid by me with a animal autofashin kit that i am going to stop by his house and ask.

Also If i have time to put new brakes on the 318ti my sister might do her first autox.

But seriously.. the PBR Deluxe pads cant take more than 3 hard braking sessions before it pads like a wet sponge. The metal masters would of been better... but I didnt know at the time.

Ok ok dont worry about the eggs. I have tires for you so thats cleared up..... now brake pads........ why dont you order some mintex c-techs or something and we will install them friday night. I have a lift at my house and air tools so shit will be a snap.

Where am I going to get pads from so soon? I do want to check this out.. I never been autox'n.

I got some UUC tranny mounts and enforcers I want to install too.

There's lots of places around here we can get pads. Pepboys or autozone has Perf. Friction ......steve at ultimate garage has alot too. Last comes to last just order and 2nd day it for friday. Just let me know what your gonna do.....

If you're going to come all the way down, you should drive. I usually instruct, too, so if you'd like I'd be more than happy to ride with you or you can come with me.

Do you have a clue on what the course is going to be like?? Is it a big fast lot or slow and tighter?? I have never been to the camden autox's in the past so your info will be helpful.

No, unfortunately I don't know what the course is going to be like. My first autocross ever was at that lot, but that was a long time ago! IIRC, the lot itself is pretty big. Since I've been autocrossing with NJBMWCCA, we've never had very large lots so I don't know what they'll do with a big one. They usually do a pretty good job setting up courses which balance fast and slow sections to make things a little more fair for all cars.

I discovered last night that this event will be held in conjunction with the Philly region of the SCCA, so now I have absolutely no idea what the course will be like. I just hope there isn't going to be like 130 cars there...

The NJBMWCCA autox is definitely on Sunday, April 7th. Registration opens at 9, but I'm planning on getting there a little earlier (especially if I'm going to swap wheels and tires.)

Willy, too bad you don't have an M3 - I have an extra set of Hawk HPS pads sitting around that you could have used.

I just found out that the NY BMWCCA is having a autox at Nassau Coliseum which is much closer to me then camden. Also the Nassau Coliseum autox might be less packed due to the joined run with the pa autox. Right now this is a toss up for me on which i will attend. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!!! :dunno

Did any of you guys come to the autox yesterday? I kept an eye out, but didn't see any cars that looked like yours. If not, you missed a really fun course. There were a lot of cars, but the event ran very smoothly and we were done with 6 timed runs by 2:15. Got in a bunch of fun runs, too.

I went to the Nassau Coliseum event. After getting lost from shitty map quest directions to the first run starting around 11am
I will never go there again over a jersey meet. The course was huge with times most times over 55seconds and up.

I auto-xed on Sat at Camden, won my class, BSP by over 4 seconds and posted the 3rd fastest time of the day by a car, not bad for stock suspension:buttrock

I posted 4th in class AAA i was off 3rd by .277 seconds. I need some track tires to keep up in this class or remove something from my car to drop a class. But I feel i did real good on shitty P-zeros against race preped cars.

Imagine going racing on P7000ss's.. :D

At Nassau Coliseum the parking lot had tons of sand and gravel plus at 9am the temps were in the low 40's all to make it a slippery track. pzeros p700000000's or slicks they all had problems

We had similar temps down in Camden (started low to mid 40s, went up to about 52), but the course was pretty clean. I decided to try using my Kumhos, which worked out really well. The tires got up to about 80 deg. and gave me plenty of stick. I think the sun helped a lot in keeping the pavement warm. I was really impressed with the Kumhos in those temperatures.

The big course sounds cool. I'd like to try a 50-70 second course sometime. The small courses are fun, but the longer courses give your tires more time to heat up and are more challenging.

What kumhos are your running? I was going to have tirerack send me kumhos before this autox but when i saw the temps for this past weekend i decided to just run street tires. Its great news to hear how kumhos stick in the colder temps. what were your times on street then autox tires?? I am going to have tires on for this next autox 4/28

I have some well-used V700s, 225/45-17. I didn't run my S-O2s, though my good friend (who usually is within .2 of a second of my times) was about 1.2 seconds behind me. I took a ride in his car, and it seemed like his car just didn't have the grip to catch me even though he was driving the wheels off of it. He still managed to win his class, even though every other car in the class was running on R compound tires.
