I will soon be getting a 1992 BMW 325i Black on tan, with painted bumpers. I comes with stock bottlecaps, but new tires. I'd like to get some winter tires, and put them on these wheels, and then get a better looking set of 17's or 18's to put the good tires on. However, I'd like to do this all for not too much more than 500.

To summarize: Looking for cheap but safe winter tires, plus 17 or 18'' rims for next spring. Max budged for both = 750

Suggestions? What should I look for? Should I just wait on the wheels? :help
