Here is a rough translation:
Marc Gené will become the new Ferrari test driver. According to this weeks Racereport the Spaniard will change his current employer for the Italian constructor. The news has not been officially announced.
Gené for a long time hoped he would get a race seat at Williams but during the two Grand Prix’ he drove as a stand in, he didn’t impress enough to ensure a seat at Williams for next year. Gené is generally known as a very useful and good test driver and therefore Ferrari would like to have him, even more so because Ferrari probably won’t be able to use Felipe Massa as one of their drivers anymore.
The Scuderia has used several different test driver this year. Long time test driver Luca Badoer is mainly used for long test runs. This year, Ferrari has repeatedly used Andrea Bertolini, the official driver of Maserati (not completely true), for doing some tests. Also Burti is still under contract (they say he tests every now and then but that’s not true at all either). (…) Because of Marc Genés big technical knowledge Ferrari sees him as their new test driver. Nick Heidfeld may replace Marc Gené at Williams.
