Almost all exhaust has this problem, so for the couple % who say AA never has problems, think again. Just wanted to drop more knowledge down on exhaust. I just hear lots of people complain about UUC the most and praise on other companies which isn't right b/c they have the same problem also. So why switch if the problem isn't cured.

It happens... When I first put mine on, it fit perfect... never any noise. When I took it off for some maintanence up there, it was put back on and turns out it was rattling. Turned out to be an installation error. When they tightened up the piping, that little ring thing that is only on one of the pipes was out of place. Took it off, reinstalled it... making sure the ring was proper and the problem went away.

I believe that ring is the key to it.

which ring are you talking about? Is it the part that goes underneath the bolt to the clip that clips onto the muffler?

When you remove the stock exhaust (or any exhaust)... the two pipes that are at the end (on the catalyst side). One of those pipes has a ring on it... I believe it's the pipe closest to the passenger side. The ring slides forward and backward to adjust the angle of the exhaust. Too far either direction and it starts rubbing on the diff or on the rear valance I believe.

Mine has never touched the valance, but it has touched the diff when it was reinstalled once.

I never knew that ring could be moved. I will have to try that this weekend. Mine vibrates against the valence when it gets hot.
