There is a bulb that lights the halos on each side. Just replace that bulb with a superwhite one or whatever color you want and that'll do it.

mine had this plastic weld on it too. can you say DREMEL :) just be careful and take off as little as you can around the joint. that way it will still slide back in and hold.

the filter is just stained glass. i picked mine up at a craft shop. they had a bunch of scraps they let me look through and take for free. i cut the pieces to fit the housing and lightly pressed them in. the rest is history :)

Ive got an idea for a mod!!! Gas Petal 0-95% depressed Blue
96-100% depressed red
Like wouldnt that be cool if they changed colors based on your mood?
Make moving lenses.
Or maybe rpm, or speed, as the control. meh, or if your lazy a switch.

Here's another option for changing the color of your angel eyes -- surprizingly inexpensive and easy to install. visit: www.AngelEyesUSA.com (http://www.AngelEyesUSA.com) :redspot

Interesting. Is the blue lense really THAT blue like pictured on your site, or is it a fainter color in person? I want to get a "HID" look with the AE, but I don't want to be harrassed constantly by cops here for having blue rings.

Thanks

Here are two other photos showing the effects of the flexible, heat resistant filters. I've got two types of blue -- the Jungle Blue is actually a deeper blue than the Dark Blue. These photos are very representative of the actual look. The key to photographing them is to use a camera with a fast shutter speed. Otherwise, too much light enters the camera and the image (the angel eye) appears blurred or washed out. :smiliecap

only some colors are legal to use. forward of the car the only colors allowed are white, amber (orange), and yellow.

colors like blue, red, green are illegal. i have been pulled over and ticketed for the red angel eyes. once in over two years is something i can deal with since its just a fix it ticket and easily correctible.
