Well, I would go with Breytons because Hamanns are heavy. A friend of mine had HM2s on his 95 m3 and he said they were way too heavy.

Hamann's are heavy? No actually they are not that heavy, in 18's they are fine. The Hamann's are made by Oz racing, now someone correct me if I am mistake but I don't believe they make a "heavy" rim.

The Breytons on the other hand have a reputation for having some considerable weight to them. Both are great rims, depends on what your looking for.

If performance is any issue I suggest you do as I did and keep yourself to 18" or under.

Tirerack has good pricing on the Breytons: www.tirerack.com and we sell and currently have on special the Hamann product:

18x8.5 breyton magics: 28lbs
18x8.5 hmIIs: 24 lbs.

get the magics though...they look so amazing...i was very close to getting those rims...but i ended up getting the m-classics instead.
the magics are so awesome..and stylin is right...the lip is awesome too:eek: its a nice chrome lip( the wheels are alloy though )
for performance you really wouldn't be getting either of these wheels, you'd be looking into some superleggras or something.
so i say get the magics...or get the magic racings if you can afford it: i believe they are lighter too...but don't quote me:)

personally, I prefer the Hamann HMII's over any other rim. it also depends on what you're going for: looks, performance, or a combination. the hm2's just have a cleaner, more sleeker look in my opinion. btw, how do you pronounce "breyton". is it like "brighton" or "brayton" thanx -C
