Just driving down 20 comming back from walmat when i see a older white z speed past me..like any proud m3 owner i thought i would speed up and give him a drive by myself...i got on his ass quick and slowly started to merge and pass..right when i got nest to him he looks over and i hear him downshift folwed by the unmistakable sound of a blow off valve..i instantly droped into 3rd..he was about a half cars langth on me..i think he had a bad shift cause when we were going into 5th i was about a half in front of him..well to my disbelief (knowing that thier was a turbo undr that hood..) at about 100 i started pulling him and by about buck 30 i had a good car and a hlf on him easy..we slowed back down and i let him come up beside me..he look at me and was just shacking his head..all i herd was a faint.."didnt realize it was a m3" then a thumbs up as i exied to 360 and he contiued his way down 20...WOW One of the best races i have ever had..thanks m3! I was just at Wal-mart buying head lights for my moms truck. Actually just at dinner at the On the Border over by the Parks also. Some nice cars to race over in that area.

A lot of those 300zx turbos have a ton of miles on them and the majority of those still running around on the street are pretty beat from what i've seen. It wouldn't surprise me if you beat a lightly modded one if it had like 150K on the clock, they're not that fast stock to begin with.

Nice kill.......I had a TT before and with just a chip and an intake that thing pulls harder than an M3 short of a turbo

actually, they're not that slow stock. but like 1slowm3 said, it might have been pretty beat up.
not doubting the story at all, just had to back up the Z a little.
i had a 1990 Z Twin Turbo with bolt-ons and 14psi as well as a 95' M3 w/ exhaust only.
even though the E36 M3 was my favorite, because of the fact that bimmer's are solid ass and very refined cars, the Z was a fast mofo.
i too beat a 300Z TT in my E36 M3 before, but i honestly think it's either because those guys cant drive worth a damn or it could be one of many of the turbo Z car bugs (boost leaks, vaccum leak, one of the 2 turbo's failing, electrical bugs, etc.)
a kill is a kill and u handed his ass to him...haha
but my Z handled many a car...modified VR-4's, modified C4's, C5's (not quite handled, edged out...haha C5's are fast), M5's (best race ever, when i was only running 12psi instead of 14+), M3's, only raced one Ferrari (bosses F355 Berlinetta - i was runnin bout 10-12psi...never got passed him, but he never walked away from me...another awsome race)
blah blah blah...back to work...haha
sorry bout the rambling...just thought you guys would like to know about someone's personal experiences with these two cars, they were both my fav.

lol ya the car looked way run down... But it was the first true hardcore race that i really got into since i got the M3..It was way fun..I do know those cars can be way fast though...and as for the ? about the wheels..yes they are and no i dont..but i do want to get rid of them and get new ones..why are you interested...

Nice kill, those blow-off valves sometimes are more bark than bite. By the way, does anyone know where to get those M stripes on m3pastu grill?
